Stoof supplies a 100% electric vehicle to Food Bank Rotterdam

A great assignment for the Stoof Business Group. The total supplier for the purchase, service and maintenance of aerial work platforms, transport equipment and construction machines delivered a 100% electric vehicle to the Rotterdam Food Bank at the beginning of March.

Stoof Business Group sold the vehicle through the company EMS Europe. Erik-Jan Teunissen of the Rotterdam Food Bank received the vehicle from Joop Arends, Managing Director of EMS Europe B.V. The 100% electronic E-carry is equipped with a tailgate on request and has a net loading capacity of 1000 kilograms. The vehicle reaches speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour and can travel 250 kilometers without having to recharge.

Emission-free pick-up and delivery
Janwillem Stoof, founder and owner of the Stoof Business Group, is proud. 'The Food Bank employees can now also collect and deliver their products without any emissions. That is becoming increasingly important; in Rotterdam, the city center will become a zero-emission zone in 2025. We are pleased to contribute to the sustainable ambitions of the Rotterdam Food Bank. Thanks to a number of donations from the Rotterdam business community, it became possible to invest in this sustainable means of transport, including a loading facility. We are proud of the result and wish the Food Bank many safe kilometers during their important work.'

Active worldwide
The Stoof Business Group, based in Spijkenisse, joined Friends in Business last October. 'With my background in aerial work platforms, I started as an independent mechanic eighteen years ago. That got a bit out of hand. I now have ten people and we operate worldwide," Janwillem said at the time.

At the end of November, Janwillem and managing director Joop Arends attended a dealer meeting of the aerial work platform brand LiuGong in China.
